Citizens Hose No. 5
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — It was a busy Thursday for Clinton County fire crews, with multiple incidents keeping local responders on the move throughout the day.
The morning began at 9:27 a.m. when Citizens Hose Company No. 5 was dispatched to a pole fire on Lazy Lane in Grugan Township. Less than a half hour later, at 9:58 a.m., the company responded to a tree down at Eagle Ridge Personal Care Home.
Shortly after, Citizens Hose No. 5 was dispatched as part of the first-alarm assignment to a reported structure fire at Jersey Shore Area Senior High School in Lycoming County. Squad 6 responded with a crew of seven within three minutes of dispatch. Upon arrival of Lycoming Station 45 crews, it was determined that the issue stemmed from a burnt HVAC belt on the school’s roof. Staging units were released, and Squad 6 was requested to stand by at Station 45 while ventilation and overhaul continued.
While standing by, Squad 6 was alerted to a vehicle accident on Main Street in Porter Township. As crews were arriving, Captain 1-45 redirected Squad 6 to a dump truck rollover on North Route 44 Highway in Porter Township. Upon arrival, crews found a tri-axle truck on its side in a ditch. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Squad 6 cleared the scene of the rollover and returned to the City shortly after.
