CASTANEA TOWNSHIP — Castanea Township is preparing for some Halloween fun with its annual Halloween Parade, scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 4 p.m.
The parade will travel from Brown Street to the Castanea Fire Company on McElhattan Avenue in the Lock Haven/Castanea area.
Organizers are currently recruiting participants to help make this year's parade a memorable community event. Floats, bands, dance troupes, tractors, decorated cars, walkers, athletic groups, nonprofit organizations, youth and Scout groups, and fire, police and EMS agencies are all invited to participate.
Those interested in joining the parade should contact Rick Schulze at [email protected] by 5 p.m. on October 18.
In the event of inclement weather, the parade's rain date will be Monday, October 26, at 6 p.m.
Community members are encouraged to come out, enjoy the Halloween festivities and support the organizations and participants taking part in this year's Castanea Township Halloween Parade.
