LOCK HAVEN — The City of Lock Haven's Public Works Department will conduct a routine closure of the flood gate at the Jay Street Bridge on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

As a result, the bridge will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. until approximately 3:30 p.m.

Motorists traveling between Woodward Township and the City of Lock Haven are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure.

The temporary closure is part of the city's regular maintenance and operational procedures for the flood protection system. The bridge is expected to reopen once work is completed later that afternoon.
