On September 13, 2024, a significant vehicle accident occurred on I-80 Eastbound at Mile Marker 173. The incident prompted a swift response from Stations 17, 11, and 21. Emergency personnel from these stations arrived promptly at the scene. It was reported there was one vehicle into a tree, with entrapment. Emergency personal determined two Life Flights were needed, a landed zone was established by Station 4 at the Flying J in Lamar.
