NOYES TOWNSHIP, PA — A Lock Haven man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an alleged domestic violence incident in Noyes Township, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar.
Troopers responded to a residence on Tamarack Road for a reported domestic incident involving a 56-year-old woman from Lock Haven and a 36-year-old woman from Renovo. During the investigation, police determined that a verbal dispute had escalated into a physical altercation.
According to PSP, the male suspect allegedly shoved the female victim, causing her to strike her head and sustain injuries. Troopers further allege that the suspect repeatedly punched the victim in the face, kicked her while she was on the ground, and at one point placed both hands around her neck, restricting her airway and causing her to lose consciousness.
Police also reported that a 2007 Ford Mustang was taken during the incident. After the assault, police said Young walked outside and entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a neighboring residence. Investigators said he found the keys inside and drove away without permission in a stolen 2007 Ford Mustang.
Dylan Young, 33, of Lock Haven, was taken into custody without incident a short time later. He has been charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Simple Assault, Harassment, and Driving While Operating Privileges are Suspended.
The victim suffered multiple injuries, including head lacerations, a bloody lip, scrapes to her legs and feet, and bruising and redness around her neck, according to police. She was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for treatment.
Following arraignment, Young was committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility after bail was set at $60,000.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
