RENOVO, PA — An 18-year-old Renovo man is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from police on a motorcycle at speeds reaching approximately 70 mph in a posted 25 mph zone during the annual Flaming Foliage Festival.
According to the Renovo Police Department, the incident occurred on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at approximately 3:57 PM along Huron Avenue in the Borough of Renovo.
Police reported that officers attempted to stop a motorcycle operated by Kaleb W. Smith, 18, of Renovo, for a traffic violation. Smith allegedly failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.

Smith was taken into custody and transported to Lock Haven Hospital for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries. He was later transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
Further investigation revealed that Smith had allegedly never been issued a driver's license. Police also determined that the motorcycle was unregistered, uninspected, and uninsured, and displayed a registration plate that did not belong to the vehicle.
Smith faces nine charges, including:
Felony fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer (F3)
Recklessly endangering another person (M2)
Reckless driving
Driving at an unsafe speed
Driving without a license

Smith was arraigned on October 11, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Heidi Wright and committed to jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
